  1. Supporting the socio-economic and sustainable development of rural communities through the provision of infrastructure and access to social services

  2. Transforming rural communities through the provision of infrastructures to improve their living conditions

  3. Developing a hierarchy of rural road networks

  4. Preliminary survey and design of works to be executed under rural feeder roads programmes

  5. Generating and selling power to industrial consumers

  6. Construction, rehabilitation and upgrading of feeder roads, access roads and link roads

  7. Preliminary survey, designing and processing of proposed contract works in rural electrification; and

  8. Advising Government on all technical matters regarding rural electrification.
